The singer has achieved a lot in the entertainment business. She has performed in countless shows in the Philippines and abroad.
Following a previous article, Morissette Amon’s version of “Pangarap Ko Ang Ibugin Ka” by Regine Velasquez went viral on social media.
It was during her guesting on the Kapamilya show Gandang Gabi Vice. There she was challenged to sing the famous song while lying down, sitting, and having a mouthpiece.
Undeniably, Morissette Amon is considered one of the most powerful belters in the entertainment business. But a lot of people does not know she did not start out as a famous singer.
The 22-year-old singer has joined several competitions to showcase her impressive voice. Eventually, she was featured in TV 5’s now-defunct program, “Talentadong Pinoy.”
Morissette Amon was only 14-year-old when she left Cebu to join the competition in Manila. The singer caught the attention of the judges due to her stage presence and charisma.
On the VTR, she revealed that she was diagnosed with a tumor on her neck. Because of that, she has to undergo an operation and might not achieve her dreams to become a professional singer someday. In spite of this, the Asia’s Phoenix persevered and managed to continue her dreams.
On the talent search, Morissette sang Alicia Keys’ song titled “New York.” The host Ryan Agoncillo was amazed by her performance while some jurors said she lacked some aspects.
