President Duterte Donates Margarita Village House To House of Hope Foundation

DUTERTE – President Duterte donated his house in Davao City to the House of Hope Foundation.

Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte is the 16th president of the country, succeeding Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III. The politician’s term is expected to end on June 30, 2022.

The 73-year-old chief executive has made several changes and progress for the country.

President Rodrigo Duterte has renovated Boracay Island and the Manila Bay.  A lot of his supporters gathered to initiate a clean-up drive on those locations.

Undeniably, the Davaoeño politician won the hearts of some Filipinos because of the obvious changes in the country.

Meanwhile, vice president of the House of Hope Fatima-Inderah Disomimba was surprised by the kind gesture of President Rodrigo Duterte.

Based on a report from Inquirer, the chief executive donated his three-bedroom house to the foundation that abodes children who are diagnosed with cancer.

The house of Duterte in Margarita Village in Davao City is situated near the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC).

According to the report, Fatima-Inderah Disomimba stated that the hospital near Duterte’s house is for poor cancer patients who ask for treatment.

Last Wednesday, the vice president of the foundation confirmed that the president signed a deed of donation last January 2019.

Fatima-Inderah Disomimba stated President Rodrigo Duterte allowed them to utilize his house on Margarita Village in the past but the title remained under his name.

The money of House of Hope or Davao Children’s Cancer Fund, also known as Kids of Hope is mainly from donations.

Based on the report, the house of President Duterte in Margarita Village currently shelters three poor children diagnosed with cancer.

Aside from them, it also accommodates nurses and doctors from outside the city who undergo training at the Southern Philippines Medical Center.

When Digong was still a mayor, Disomiba said he had been supporting the foundation and visits House of Hope foundation every December and other occasions.
