Philippines Got 8 Nominations at 2019 New York Festival TV & Film Awards
PHILIPPINES – Eight entries from the Philippines were nominated at the 2019 New York Film Festival.
New York Festivals television and movies awards give recognition to the work of talents and story-tellers from all over the world.
It is an annual 17-days festival starting from the last week of September to mid-October that is led by the Film Society of Lincoln.
The award-giving body aims to inspire and encourage the next generation to be creative and show their exceptional talent in creating tv series and films.
Throughout the years, the Filipinos have innovated and have shown their talents in creating movies and tv shows all over the world.

The Kapuso network has five (5) nominations while the Kapamilya network has three (3) nominations. Here is the list of the following nominees:

Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS), “Salay” – Nominated for the Community Portraits category.
The Atom Araullo Specials, on his episode “No Leftovers” – Nominated for Social Issues category.
Reel Time: “Batang Maestro” – Nominated for Heroes category.
I-Witness: “War Zone ER” of Sandra Aguinaldo and “Bilanggo ng Isipan” of Kara David – Nominated for Current Affairs category.

Local Legends: “Karne Norte” – Nominated for Biography/Profiles category.
Mission Impossible: “Kapit Lang Anak” – Nominated for Best Public Affairs Program category.
Mission Impossible: “Elsa and Sarah” – Nominated for Station/Image Promotion category.
According to the report, the 2019 New York Festivals “World’s Best TV and Films” meticulously chose the most worthy shows created by the veteran and new artists.
