A Female Audience Member Died During Opening Number of “Wowowin“

WOWOWIN – A female studio audience fell from the bleachers during the taping of the variety show Wowowin.

The Philippine comedy variety show Wowowin is broadcasted by the Kapuso network. The tv show started last May 2015.

Prominent host Willie Revillame hosted the show along with Sugar Mercado, Halimatu Yushawu, Ciara Sotto, and Boobsie Wonderland.

Wowowin is admired by a lot of Filipino viewers and audience because of the host’s generosity. The program gives away cell phones, jackets, and cash to their participating audience.

The kind heart of Willie Revillame is what urges a lot of people to come, see and enjoy the show in GMA-7.

Meanwhile, there was an unfortunate accident that happened on Wowowin last Tuesday, January 22, 2019.

Based on a report from GMA, 5:25 on that afternoon during the opening number of the program an audience lost her life while the other one got injured.

The name of the studio audience that got injured is Milagros Espiritu while the person who died in the accident is Estrella Bognot.

Security Marshal Roel Batang was the accident, he recalled that Espiritu and Bognot were standing on the bleachers while dancing and singing. Both of them got off balance during the opening number.

According to the report, Milagros Espiritu suffered a fracture while Estrella Bognot hit her head on the fire extinguisher.

The studio audience were immediately tended by the in-house paramedics of the WBR Entertainment then delivered into the nearest hospital.

Based on the report, the GMA Network and WBR Entertainment sympathize and provided help to the families of the victims.
