Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray to meet President Duterte
Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray will pay a courtesy call on President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday afternoon at the Villamor Air Base.
Catriona was hailed as the fourth Miss Universe from the Philipines. She followed Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz, Miss Universe 1973 Margie Moran and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.
Last December 17 in Bangkok, Thailand was indeed a remarkable crowning moment for the beauty queen from Bicol.
She definitely made her fellow Filipino proud because of her performance in this year’s most prestigious beauty pageant.
Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray went back to the country on Wednesday for a simple homecoming.
Based on a previous report, it is not her grand homecoming yet because she is just here for a charity event.
Usually, Miss Universe winners do their homecoming a month after they are crowned and they immediately go to New York.
On Catriona’s case she went immediately back to the country because she needed to attend a charity event.
Aside from this, she is also set to pay a courtesy call to President Duterte.
Based on the report from Inquirer, the Filipina beauty queen will to Villamor Air Base in Pasay City this day at around 5:30 p.m.
Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo has this statement for the triumph of Catriona Gray in Miss Universe 2018, based on the report.
“The genuine qualities defining a Filipina beauty: confidence, grace, intelligence and strength in the face of tough challenges. Ms. Gray’s triumph sets the bar high in empowering more Filipino women to believe in themselves and to fight for their own place in the universe. We salute and admire her victory.”
