The identity of the male customer who  allegedly jumped from the third floor of SM City Bacolod revealed

SM City Bacolod – The identity of the male customer who allegedly jumped from the third floor of the mall now revealed.

On December 11, minutes after the opening of the mall, a shocking incident happened.

Facebook user Thomas M. Gimang shared on his account that the male customer deliberately jumped.

On the other hand, there were netizens who said that the man was one of the utility staff of the mall.

Another netizen said that the man was wearing a uniform of World of Fun.

The management of SM City Bacolod has released an official statement regarding this.

It was said that the male customer was immediately brought to the hospital after Bacolod City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (DRRMO) responded.

In addition, the mall’s management stated that the investigation is still ongoing.

Because there is still no concrete information about what really happened, people on social media tend to speculate if it was really intentional or just an accident.

Meanwhile, a report from Bombo Radyo Bacolod revealed the identity of the said male customer.

He was identified as Jeffrey Cordova, a 43-year-old resident of  Brgy. Alijis in Bacolod City. 

The report also said that Cordova was brought to Riverside Hospital after the DRRMO checked him. 

It was also reiterated that the man is a mall customer unlike the speculations of others that he was a staff of the mall, based on the report.

The Police Station 1 of Bacolod City, reportedly was advised not to release to the press any report regarding the SM City Bacolod incident.
