About the “etsapwera” issue in ABS-CBN’s Christmas Station ID and in the new format of ASAP, Jaya speaks up
Soul Diva Jaya finally speaks about the issue she is “etsapwera” in ABS-CBN’s Christmas Station ID and in the new format of ASAP, the ASAP Natin ‘To.
The new ASAP and the network transfer of Regine Velasquez came with certain issues.
Previously, it was reported that Zsa Zsa Padilla shared her emotion that she will no longer be a part of ASAP.
Following that, Janno Gibbs also shared a piece of his mind regarding his absence during the Station ID shoot.
Now, Jaya breaks her silence regarding this.
Based on the article published in Bandera, Jaya was in the US when Janno and Zsa Zsa shared their sentiments on social media.
That was during the time she was having concerts with Lani Misalucha abroad.
After their show, she stayed for another week to visit her mother-in-law in the hospital.
When asked about her absence in the shooting for the ABS-CBN Christmas ID, the Soul Diva said that she was sad.
“Yun nga e, wala pa ako sa Christmas station ID. Lungkot na lungkot ako. Pero ‘yung sa Christmas Special kasama ako,” she shared.

She is thinking that she will be included in the video even though she was not there during the shoot.
Jaya’s co-hurados in It’s Showtime’s Tawag Ng Tanghalan were also absent.
“Napakalaking blessing for me ng TNT bilang nagbigay din ng pangalan sa akin ulit, at ibinabato ako sa iba’t ibang parte ng mundo. Nakagawa ako ng maraming TFC shows and events. Bagong lipat pa lang ako, bagong TNT ako noon, kung saaan-saan na ako lumipad,” the singer said.
When it comes to the new format of ASAP with Regine Velasquez, here’s what the Soul Diva said:
“E, may boss din naman si Regine (Velasquez), e, ‘di ba? Merong mga nagdedesisyon para sa mga program. So, kung ‘yun ang gusto ng bossing for the moment, so be it. I’m sure marami pang changes ‘yan. Alam mo na, maraming talents ang ABS, so, I’m sure marami pa ‘yan na papasok ulit.”
She added that she has no “tampo” as she jokingly said, “Masayang-masaya ako na naglalaba every Sunday. Hahahaha!”
