Ang Probinsyano Director Toto Natividad Resigns To Work On GMA-7 Show Cain At Abel
ANG PROBINSYANO – Director of Ang Probinsyano, Toto Natividad, resigned to work on the GMA-7 show Cain At Abel.
The drama series of ABS-CBN FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano first aired in 2015. The tv series was based on Fernando Poe Jr.’s 1997 movie of the same title.
The primetime action tv series top-billed by Coco Martin is airing for three years now and it is directed by Toto Natividad.
The veteran filmmaker recently decided to quit from the Kapamilya top-rating teleserye Ang Probinsyano.
Based on a report from PEP, Toto Natividad is set to be the director of the GMA-7 action-drama series Cain At Abel. He was present at the grand press conference of the program last November 13.
Natividad expressed that he already signed a release contract with the Kapamilya network.
“Malinis naman ang konsensiya ko, nagpaalam naman ako,” he added.
In the meantime, he will just be the “guest director” of the show for he is still waiting for other documents to be finalized to become the official director.
The new GMA-7 teleserye, which will be starred by Dennis Trillo and Dingdong Dantes, is eyed to be pitted against ABS-CBN’s Ang Probinsyano.
According to the report, the former Ang Probinsyano director is happy about his decision that he is able to share his talent with the Kapuso network.
Natividad also revealed his secret concept in creating a show. He said he has to shock the audiences and let them feel like they’re watching a movie.
“Ang ipapanood mo sa kanila, pelikula, para yung makatapat mo, mahihirapan lumapit sa iyo,” he quipped.
Based on the report, he said that there are just a few directors who could do those kinds of executions.
“Sinuwerte lang ako kaya ko, para yung mga tatapat, hirap,” he added.
The former Ang Probinsyano director just wanted to experience working with the other network’s actors and to share with them his gift in creating action scenes.
