The DBM has issued a summation of ₱29.7 billion for the end-year bonus of civilian personnel; and another ₱6.5 billion for military and uniformed personnel in 2018.

An article in CNN said that the ₱7.3 billion, on the other hand, was allotted for the ₱5,000 cash bonus to all government workers.

The release of the 14th month bonus and cash gift is pursuant to Budget Circular No. 2016-4, which requires that the incentives be given not earlier than November 15.

As per the report, the people who can receive the incentives were employees who are in service as of October 31 with a total of four months of service since the beginning of 2018. The workers who left before October 31 and served for four months, on the other hand, shall be granted a pro-rated year-end bonus and cash gift, within the month of retirement or separation.
