Ryan Reynolds Is The Voice Actor Of Pikachu In The Upcoming Live-Action Pokémon Movie
RYAN-REYNOLDS – Canadian-American actor Ryan Reynolds stars in live-action Pokémon movie entitled “Pokémon : Detective Pikachu” as Pikachu.
Ryan Reynolds is well-known for his role as the titular character Wade Wilson/Deadpool in Deadpool; and stars in films like Green Lantern; R.I.P.D; Definitely, Maybe; and more.
Recently, he was cast as the voice actor of Pikachu in the upcoming first ever live-action film entitled “Pokémon : Detective Pikachu”.
An article in Manila Bulletin states that in the film’s trailer, you get to hear his voice. The trailer showed other Pokémon such as Charizard, Jigglypuff, Bulbasaur, Mr. Mime, Psyduck, and Greninja, as they coexist with humans in a place called Ryme City. You can check out the trailer below:
As per the report, the movie starts with a 21-year old man named Tim Goodman (played by Justice Smith), whose father Harry went missing. Along his search, he encounters the adorable, intelligent, wise-cracking Pikachu, who is also his father’s former partner.
The film is directed by Rob Letterman, who is behind “Goosebumps” and “Monsters Vs. Aliens”. The film, as reported, will hit the big screens on May 10, 2019.
