It is not the first time that Uson became controversial since she served as the PCOO Asec.

Allegedly, she is a proponent of fake news. She also became controversial when she unintentionally said that Mayon is in Naga.

Her video promoting Federalism also became controversial. The recent controversial statement or action she did was resigning as the PCOO Asec.

Following her resignation announcement, Rep. Belaro said that Andanar should quit too as PCOO Secretary.

“The resignation of Ms. Mocha Uson from her post as assistant secretary at PCOO is a golden opportunity for Malacanang and PCOO to hit the reset button on some of its public communications efforts,“the lawmaker said based on GMA News.

He added that Andanar should take the responsibility for the failures that happened in the agency under his command.

According to the Representative, Uson is just a sign that there is something needed to be fixed in PCOO.

“We want competent and honest people leading and working within PCOO and its various agencies,” he said.

He also said that the agency should be a “department of integrated communications”. Furthermore, Belaro stressed out that the Office of the President should have a separate communications office under the presidential spokesperson.

The Representative also said that the Philippine News Agency must eliminate political influences. Instead of releasing propaganda, the news agency should deliver objective news, according to him.

Aside from this, he also urged a special audit of the entire PCOO and this includes the former office of Mocha Uson.

“We wish Ms. Uson well in her future endeavors as a private citizen,” Belaro stated based on the report.
