Commission on Elections (COMELEC) released the official calendar for 2019 elections a week before the filing of certificate of candidacy.
The filing of candidacy will start from October 11 to 17, 2018.
In a statement released on Wednesday, October 3, Comelec said that the election period is set to start from January 13, 2019, until June 12, 2019.
During the entire election period, gun ban will be enforced while the liquor ban will be implemented on May 12 to 13.
May 13 will be the election day.
Candidates for senator and party-list groups participating in the Party-List System of Representation could start their campaign from February 12 to May 11.
House of Representatives candidates and vying for the regional, provincial, city and municipal positions can start campaigning from March 30 to May 11.
