JEBI – Typhoon Jebi may have left Japan but it’s devastating downpour and thunderstorms leave a huge mark on the country.
Typhoon Jebi entered Japan on Tuesday (September 4, 2018). It took the lives of at least 7 people and injured about 350 individuals.
A video was posted on Facebook on how powerful the typhoon is to wreck affected areas of Japan. Jebi toppled buildings, destroyed establishments, and damaged numerous houses. It also blew away vehicles and cut off power on millions of houses on the typhoon-affected areas.
Again, as of today, the typhoon left Japan. However, Japan was left devastated by Jebi’s fury.
A report on ABC News detailed current issues and situations Japan has to face as of the moment; followed up by aerial-wide photos of Japan today. About 3,000 travelers were forced to spend the night at Kansai Airport in Osaka because of flooding coming from a storm surge. Thus, the officials were forced to close the Airport.
The only bridge that connects the airport to the mainland was damage due to an oil tanker, which blew during the storm.
Cranes collapsed and shipping containers were strewn around by winds which gusted up to 110 mph, according to the Associated Press report.
A ship located in Nishinomiya City is now beyond repair after it collided with a concrete breakwater.
As per the report, the storm left 11 dead and over 600 injured.
