Angelina Jolie said that Brad Pitt is not paying the child support for one year and a half now.
Actress Angelina Jolie accused her estranged husband actor Brad Pitt of not paying child support after they got divorced.
According to the ‘Maleficent’ actress, it has been a year and a half since the ‘Fury’ actor is not performing his duty to their children.
Based on the article published in NBC news, Angelina is set to take this matter to court. She intends to seek court order to force Brad to pay the child support.
“[Pitt] has a duty to pay child support. As of present, [Pitt] has paid no meaningful child support since separation,” Angelina‘s lawyer, Samantha Bley DeJean, said.
Reportedly, the legal counsel of the Hollywood actor has not released any official statement yet regarding this issue.
On the other hand, a source close to Brad said that he is fulfilling his commitments to his children with Angelina.
According to the actress’ lawyer, she wants to appear before the court to discuss the financial issue amid her separation with Brad.
The “aim of Angelina’s routine filing is to promote closure to the marriage in a way that clears a path toward the next stage of their lives and allows her and Brad to recommit as devoted co-parents to their children,” Mindy Nyby, her spokesperson said.
Angelina Jolie filed for divorced in September of 2016. Her separation with Brad Pitt was one of the most-talked about breakup in Hollywood.
She cited that the reason she wanted a divorce was the irreconcilable differences between them, based on the report.
The former couple was tagged as Brangelina and they had been together in films such as “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” and “By The Sea”.
