Pricless Reaction of proud mother Editha Billones Caught on Cam
EDITHA BILLONES- Editha Billones was beyond gratified and delighted when she learned that her daughter’s diligence has finally been paid off after passing the 2017 Bar Examination.
On April 26, the results of the 2017 Bar Exams were officially announced by Bar chairman Associate Justice Lucas Bersamin. The exam results will determine whether an aspiring lawyer is qualified to practice law in a given jurisdiction.
Based on an article from Rappler, a bar passer’s mother, which was later identified as Editha Billones, seized attention when she bared her priceless reaction upon seeing her daughter’s name flashed on the Supreme Court’s big screen.
Mrs. Billones then hurriedly called her daughter over the phone to dispatch the good news while jumping for joy.
In the video, the proud mother can be heard telling her daughter to stop crying as it has been verified that she passed the 2017 bar exams, one of the most difficult licensure examination in the Philippines.
“Anak, pasado ka! Nandito ang pangalan mo, nakita ko na anak! Huwag ka nang umiyak,” Billones exclaimed to her daughter in verbatim, teary-eyed.
As stated in the report, Mrs. Billones’ daughter Zandalee was an alumna of Arellano University.
The latter was asked for an interview after Mrs. Billones’ reaction video went viral online. However, she civilly declined and stressed that it was supposedly her mother’s moment in the limelight and not hers.
Zandalee also further said that her mother deserves all the tributes and praises she gets from other people in social media after years of hard work for her and for their family’s sake.
“After all, she taught me how to read and write, and without learning these skills, I would not have survived the Bar,” she added.
