 Call Center Agent Diagnosed With Chronic Kidney Failure Warns About Unhealthy Lifestyle in BPO Industry.

CALL CENTER AGENT- Former Call Center Agent vent viral on social media after revelations on lifestyles that may compromise the health of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) employees.

The BPO Industry is one of the most dynamic and fastest growing industries in the in the Philippines and has contributed a major role in the country’s development due to its rich potential workforce.

Presently, there are about 1.3-million Filipinos working in the BPO Industry, covering about 10% to 15% of the global market share. The latest statistics was obtained from Magellan Solutions.

Amidst the growing number of the industry’s workforce based on the report. Recently, a Facebook post shared by ‘Buhay Call Center Agent’ went viral containing a revelation of a female call center agent on why she decided to leave the BPO Industry after 8 years. The post was credited to a certain Lei Del Rosario.

As written in the post, the former BPO employee was diagnosed by a Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) due to the unhealthy lifestyle inside the industry.

Chronic Kidney Disease is the gradual loss of kidney function. The kidneys of the person diagnosed with CKD filter wastes and excess fluids from your blood, which is then excreted in your urine.

In the post, she gave a piece of advice to employees in the same work field to refrain from consuming caffeinated drinks such as coffee, energy drinks and soda which they usually rely on especially during graveyard shift duties.

According to her, employees must not rely on self-medication and pain relievers but rather consult a doctor if they feel something isn’t right with their body.

The call center agent also called-out BPO Companies who are unreasonably strict in giving bio breaks to their employees and encouraged them to remain lenient for the welfare of her fellows.

The viral post has obtained 56k reactions, 46k shares and 33k comments as of now.

The identity of the said call center agent remains anonymous, but her photos continue to make rounds online.
