Miss Indonesia Kevin Lilliana is the successor of Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa
Another international beauty pageant has concluded and a new queen was crowned during the pageant night of Miss International 2017 in Tokyo, Japan.
The winner last year which is the pride of the Philippines, Filipina beauty queen Kylie Verzosa handed down her crown to Miss Indonesia on Tuesday.
Everyone in the country was hoping that the Philippines will have a back to back win through Mariel De Leon, the beauty queen daughter of veteran stars Christopher De Leon and Sandy Andolong.
In a report of ABS CBN Entertainment, Miss Indonesia in the person of Kevin Lilliana triumphantly owned the crown among other 68 candidates from different countries around the globe.
During the pageant, every candidate showcased their beauty and grace through the national costume, swimsuit and evening gown competitions.
After that, the top 15 candidates who excelled among the others were chosen and it was trimmed down to top 8.
The excitement even rose when the top 5 candidates were announced to compete for the Miss International 2017 crown.
In the end, the candidate from Indonesia reign supreme who said that she can’t still believe that she was able to get the crown during the international beauty pageant.
Kevin Lilliana also shared that winning the crown and becoming a beauty queen is her dream come true.
Other top winners in Miss International 2017 are Miss Curacao Chanelle Wilhelmina Maria is the first runner-up.
The second, third and fourth runner-up spots went to Miss Venezuela Diana Macarena, Miss Australia Amber Dew, and Miss Japan Natsuki Tsutsui, respectively, according to a report.
Unfortunately, the Philippines was not able to enter the top 15 nor received any special awards during the international beauty pageant which was held in the land of the rising sun.
