Veteran actor Chinggoy Alonzo died on Monday, October 16 after a long battle with colon cancer.
On the social networking site, Facebook, TV and movie director Mark Reyes announced that the veteran actor passed away.

Meanwhile, several netizens took to their respective social media account wherein they express bereaved to the latter’s family.

Chinggoy Alonzo first came to prominence when he performed on a theater stage in the year 1960s.
His movie debut was via “Buhay Artista Ngayon” which hit cinemas in 1979.
According to a report published by PEP.ph, his mestizo looks might be the reason why he usually portrays the role of a rich elderly man, a father and a politician in most of his projects while in showbiz.
He was last seen on the big screen via 2015 movie, Etiquette for Mistresses.
While he last appeared on TV via Hahamakin ang Lahat (2016) on GMA-7 and Wildflower (2017) on ABS-CBN.
No further details were divulged where his remains lie.
