For the first time, Jake Zyrus held a concert since he changed his identity and coming out of the closet as a transman.
Thousands of fans and supporters of the singer flocked at the Music Museum on October 6, 2017, to witness the latter’s his first ever concert.
However, his mother Raquel and brother Carl were not able to attend the event entitled #IAmJakeZyrus.
But his grandmother Tess Relucio, who’s been supporting him all throughout, was present during the concert.
“First time na manood ni nanay ng concert ko. I’m so proud na first ime niya ko mapanood at ganito na ako,” he said.
“I love you, nanay,” he added.
In the midst of his rendition of the song, “Maghintay Ka Lamang,” the 25-year-old singer became emotional. He later went down form the stage and sang in front of his grandmother.

Jake’s grandmother then sang a few lines from the single, which gained cheers from the audience.
Among the highlights of Jake Zyrus first-ever concert was his duet with the recording of Charice Pempengco.
