Kapuso actor Gabby Concepcion has reacted on the “mukhang pera” remark of President Rodrigo Duterte.
In a speech during the 20th anniversary of the Department of Justice (DOJ) at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Duterte lambasted the ABS-CBN Chairman Gabby Lopez for allegedly paying a certain amount for a campaign advertisement.
However, instead of mentioning the name of Gabby Lopez, Duterte uttered: “Ikaw? Gabby Concepcion, mukha kang pera, p*****ina ka. E, totoo man. E, sus.”
Duterte’s remark made a buzz online, generating memes on the social media.
Meanwhile, via his Instagram account, Gabby Concepcion gave his reaction on the controversial remark of the president.
In a post on Wednesday, September 27, the 52-year-old actor said: “We all make mistakes.”
He later on quipped by saying; “Thank you for watching Ika 6 na Utos sir President.”
He used the following hashtags:”#DU30 #ika6nautos #forgive #goodvibes #goodvibesonly #gmadrama #gmanewstv.”
According to PEP.ph, the actor then posted several articles and video clips about the GMA-7 afternoon drama series Ika-6 Na Utos, wherein he used the hashtags “#mistaken” and “#mistakenidentity.”
