Classes Suspended Due to Bagyong Kiko (Sept. 5) – Updated List

Several schools and local government units (LGUs) announced the suspension of classes on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, due to Bagyong Kiko.

Here’s the list of LGUs that announced the class suspension.

METRO MANILA

Parañaque – afternoon classes, all levels (public and private)

NORTHERN LUZON

Cagayan – pre-school to senior high school

In the latest weather advisory issued by the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), tropical depression “Kiko” has slightly accelerated.

Tropical Depression Kiko has maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 65 kph.

Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal (TCWS) has been raised in Northern Cagayan including Babuyan Group of Island and Batanes.

The storm will bring moderate to heavy rain within its 300-kilometer diameter. The weather bureau advised the fishermen not to venture out due to the bad weather in the affected areas.

Bagyong Kiko is expected to leave the country on Thursday (September 07, 2017).
