BREAKING NEWS: 19-Year-Old Carl Angelo Arnaiz Laid to Rest

Carl Angelo Arnaiz, the 19-year-old student who was killed in a “shootout” in Caloocan was laid to rest on Tuesday afternoon, September 5 in a public cemetery in Pateros.

The 19-year-old former student of the University of the Philippines-Diliman went missing for approximately ten (10) days before his parents found his body in a funeral home in Caloocan City.

Arnaiz, a resident of Cainta, Rizal was killed in a shootout against Caloocan policemen after he allegedly resisted arrest due to robbing a taxi driver identified as Tomas Bagcal along C3 Road.

Based on the result of the forensic examination conducted by the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO), he was tortured before he was killed as his wrists were swollen and bore handcuff marks.

Carlito Arnaiz, the father of Carl Angelo denied that his son fought back against the authorities.

According to Inquirer.net, Policemen who were involved in the slain of Arnaiz have been relieved.

Authorities are still conducting an investigation regarding Carl Angelo Arnaiz’s case.

The death of Carl Angelo Arnaiz came two days after the killing of the 17-year-old student Kian Delos Santos.

Kian Loyd Delos Santos was killed in an in an alleged anti-illegal drugs operation in Barangay 160 in Caloocan City late Wednesday, August 16.

Authorities claimed that the minor drew his firearm and “directly shot” at the police, which prodded Police Officer 3 Arnel Oares to fire back, and apparently kill the student.
