A popular job portal has released a list of the top 10 companies that employees aspire to work for.
Topping the list released by Jobstreet.com is power distributor Manila Electric Co (Meralco).
“Utilities firms, for the first time, have broken into the list, with electric distribution company Meralco as overall top preferred company of job seekers,” Jobstreet.com said in a statement.
Followed by San Miguel Corporation and Google Philippines, which gained the second and third spot respectively.
In the fourth edition of its annual ranking, the job recruitment website polled 3,658 junior executives and fresh graduates.
The top criteria for choosing the company that employees aspire to work for was job security.
“Last year’s survey showed that a competitive basic salary is the primary reason when choosing a firm to work for, whereas the candidates asked this year indicated that job security is the foremost reason for their consideration,” JobStreet noted.
“These choices indicate that professional Filipinos are interested in the long-term gains, as factors that directly affect their personal lives such as career growth offerings and promotion, and career-enhancing training and development opportunities,” Jobstreet said.
