The complete list of passers of August 6, 2017 Civil Service Exam-Paper and Pencil Test (CSE-PPT) for Professional and Sub Professional Levels, as well as the Top 10 Passers, will be available on this website as soon as released by the Civil Service Commission (CSC), forty-one (41) working days after the last day of the examination.

August 2017 Civil Service Exam (Verification of Rating)

The August 2017 Civil Service Exam was administered by the Civil Service Commission last August 6, 2017, at designated CSC testing centers in the country.

A total of 242,901 examinees took the Civil Service Exam. 85.9% or 208,757 examinees in the Professional level while 14.1% or 34,144 examinees under the Subprofessional level.

According to CSC, “The professional eligibility is needed for appointment to second level (technical) positions in the government, requiring at least a bachelor’s degree for education. The Subprofessional eligibility is applicable to first level (clerical) government positions that require less than four years of college studies. The Professional eligibility may also be used for clerical positions. Both eligibilities, though, cannot be used for positions involving practice of profession and those covered by special laws.”

RELEASE DATE

The results of August 2017 CSE-PPT (Professional and Subprofessional Levels) will be released forty-one (41) days after the exam. However, the list of passers may be released earlier or later without prior notice from CSC.

GENERATION OF RESULTS & VERIFICATION OF RATING

Examinees may generate their results via Online Civil Service Exam Result Generation System (OCSERGS) which will be available fifteen (15) days after the release of the list of passers. Passers should verify the availability of Certification of Eligibility (CoE) with the CSC Regional Office. CSC does not authorize representatives of takers to claim the CoE which will be availabl, thirty (30) days after posting of the results via its website, www.csc.gov.ph.

[March 2017 Civil Service Exam]

A total of 25,090 examinees out of 219,679 takers passed the March 2017 CSE-PPT with an overall passing rate of 11.42%. In the Professional level, 21,640 takers out of 188,528 examinees passed while in the Subprofessional level, 3,450 examinees out of 31,169 takers passed. The March 2017 Civil Service Exam under Professional Level was topped by Michael Louie D. Lim from Northern Mindanao with 92.45% rating. On the other hand, Faye S. Cruz from NCR ranked first in the sub professional level with 89.12%.

The Civil Service Exam in Professional level covered 170 test items which last for 3 hours and 10 minutes while takers under the sub professional level were allotted for 2 hours and 40 minutes over 165 test items.

In order to pass the Civil Service Exam, the examinee must have a rating of at least 80.00%.
