BREAKING NEWS: Spanky Manikan Diagnosed With Stage 4 Lung Cancer

Veteran actor Spanky Manikan has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.

This was confirmed by actor Nanding Josef who went to the social networking site, Facebook, last August 4 to announce and reveal that the 75-year-old actor is suffering from cancer and “in need of financial assistance.”

Spanky Manikan last appeared on TV in the GMA-7 adaptation of the hit Korean drama, “My Love From the Star.” However, he left the show due to his condition.

Meanwhile, here’s the full post of Nanding Josef below:

“To all our dear friends in theater, TV and film, our dear friend, Spanky Manikan needs our help.

“Spanky, 75 years old, has been diagnosed with lung cancer, stage 4, and is in need of financial assistance.

“He has been hospitalized 4 times already for various complications which has drained family savings (Spanky’s loving wife, who has been by his side all this time is fellow actor Susan Africa-Manikan).

“Though Spanky is slowly getting better, he needs 6 more cycles of chemotherapy. He is still confined in the hospital for pleural (lung) fluid drainage.

“Your kind and generous assistance will be very much appreciated. Spanky’s Savings Account is at BPI Magallanes, 0086-3268-64 under his full (real) name Manuel Manikan.

“(Please share this with your other friends who might be able to help).

“Maraming salamat sa inyong lahat.”
