Actress Bubbles Paraiso went to the image-sharing site, Instagram to defend actress Angel Locsin whose being criticized over her visit in war-stricken Marawi City.
The 32-year-old actress was lambasted by the online trolls over her visit in Marawi, calling it as an act of “publicity.”
Superheroes don't need costumes or superpowers, all you need is compassion, kindness and sincerity in your actions. . For me, @therealangellocsin is a 'superhero' because she secretly left for Marawi to visit and help the refugees without telling anyone (even the people closest to her). She didn't want the publicity or the noise. She did it as quietly as she could, as a regular Filipino citizen. But the big celebrity that she is, of course people got wind of it and the media started to cover her work after a couple of days that she's been there… . It saddens me that naysayers are saying she's only doing this for publicity. Seriously? She could've just not do anything and enjoy the comforts of her home but instead she went out of her way to help people. Now the question is, what have YOU done? Have you done your part in helping? Have you done your part to inspire? Or are you just a keyboard warrior who tries to generate more hate that the world doesn't need? Think, pray, love. Always spread kindness. We've got too much of the bad stuff already.
Just recently, the 32-year-old actress has visited the evacuees from the aerial bombings in Marawi at an evacuation center in Ma’had Alnor Al-Islaime, Block 8, Purok 5A, Ceanuri Subdivision in Tomas Cabili, Iligan City.
Thousands of evacuees flocked in Iligan due to the on-going clash between the government troops and the ISIS-backed Maute Group, wherein more than 200 were already killed.
Meanwhile, Neil Arce, the rumored boyfriend of Angel Locsin went to social networking site, Facebook to defend the latter from the bashers.
“I know there are still good people out there but you people bashing people who are just trying to help others you are scum,” he said in the later part of his statement.
It was on May 23, 2017, when the ISIS-linked Maute Group attacked the city of Marawi.
The attack has resulted in deaths and wounding of soldiers, policemen, and civilians, destruction of houses, a hospital being overrun and the torching of a mosque.
The ongoing war in the city prompted President Duterte to declare martial law across the entire island of Mindanao.
