Kapamilya star Angel Locsin has reacted on the reports that Kathryn Bernardo is being compared to her.
According to the 32-year-old actress, there’s no need for the 21-year-old star to feel “extra pressure” as she partakes the lead female role in La Luna Sangre.
La Luna Sangre is the third installment of the horror-action fantasy drama television series following “Lobo” starring Angel and Piolo Pascual in 2008 and Imortal starring Angel and John Lloyd Cruz in 2010. The series is set to premiere this coming June 19.
“Huwag naman. ‘Wag naman. Sa age nila ang dami na nilang na-achieve talaga. Kaya ‘wag naman,” Angel Locsin said when asked about Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, who will lead the casts of the newest ABS-CBN series.
Just recently, Angel Locsin had an exchanged of conversation with a netizen who stressed that it doesn’t like Kathryn Bernardo to headline the female lead star in the teleserye.
In an interview with PEP.ph, Angel Locsin said that she’s confident that Kathryn can carry out her role in the series.
“Wala ako sa posisyon mag-advice, but base sa mga nakikita kong ginawa naming eksena sa trailer, nakita ko yung porma nila…,” she said.
“So, I’m very happy na isu-surrender namin itong next project sa kanila na tingin namin hihigitan pa nila yung nagawa namin sa Lobo at Imortal,” she added.
Angel also shared her excitement on the portrayal of Daniel Padilla in his character.
“Kay Daniel naman, excited ako makita siya sa fight scenes kasi idol ko yung tito niya pagdating sa fight scenes naman.”
Angel Locsin was clearly referring to Robin Padilla, Daniel’s uncle who was her leading man in the defunct GMA series, “Asian Treasures.”
“At maraming naituro sa akin [si Robin],” she continued.
“Kaya parang hindi naman ako magtataka kung magpakitang gilas din siya [Daniel] dito pagdating sa fight scenes,” she added.
