Remember actress Princess Punzalan?
She came to prominence in her titular role in defunct TV series, “Mula Sa Puso” starring Claudine Barretto and Rico Yan.
In the series, she portrayed the role of an antagonist- Selina Pereira- Matias- which made her bag the PMPC Star Awards for TV’s Best Drama Actress in 1998.
Later on, she starred in several television shows and movies wherein she usually played the antagonist role.
But what do you think is her real life behind the camera?
Princess Punzalan or Bernadette Vela Punzalan in real life shared in an interview with Rhea Santos in Tunay Na Buhay that she is now working as a registered nurse in the United States. But before that, she experienced working in a restaurant.
“Maawain kasi akong tao, so second nature na sa akin ang maging maalaga. Kung meron akong magawa para makatulong, gagawin ko,” said Princess Punzalan.
Just recently, she returned to the country along with her American husband and 1-year-old daughter for a vacation.
“Nung na-meet ko si Jay, I felt na it was right and I felt na we were a good match and I saw that we were headed towards the same direction,” she said.
“Nakita ko kung gaano ka-fulfilling maging nanay. Kais binigyan ka ng opportunity ng Diyos na magkaroon ng part sa buhay ng isang tao. When she kisses me, nagme-melt talaga ang heart ko. Ibang klase talaga,” added Princess Punzalan.
“Hindi mo pwedeng i-box ang sarili mo. There’s so much fear of being a failure na parang nalilimitahan ka na sa pwede mong gawin. There’s always hope. There’s always a second chance. Just persevere. Kung anoman ang mahirap na circumstance na pinagdadaanan mo, malalampasan mo ‘yan,” she concluded.
Meanwhile, Princess Punzalan might be appearing on the upcoming ABS-CBN primetime series, “La Luna Sangre” starring the country’s hottest love team Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
