Gimik is a youth-oriented television series aired and produced by ABS-CBN which ran from 1996 to 1999.
Among the renowned casts of this show are the following: Judy Ann Santos, Patrick Garcia, G. Toengi, Diether Ocampo, Marvin Agustin, Jolina Magdangal, Kaye Abad, Dominic Ochoa, Kristine Hermosa and John Lloyd Cruz.
But aside from those who were mentioned, a certain Don Laurel also became part of the powerhouse cast of the defunct show.
He did not only appeared on the youth-oriented show. He also starred in renowned movies including “Sa Dulo Ng Walang Hanggan,” and “Batang PX.”
But what do you think happened to him after he left showbiz?
Don Laurel, a former Star Magic talent, is now based in Toronto, Canada and is a police officer.
Aside from being a police officer, he also works in the Philippine consulate in the North American country.
He conducts information sessions with to the immigrants for them to know the laws they need to follow and rights they have in the country.
In a previous interview, Don Laurel to be a policeman is his childhood dream. He also shared that his colleagues have no idea about his former job.
