TV5 President Chot Reyes Issues Statement on Erwin Tulfo’s Resignation

TV5 president and CEO Coach Chot Reyes issued a statement regarding Erwin Tulfo’s resignation from News5’s Aksyon.

In an interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal, Chot Reyes said that: “We’ve remain in touch.”

“Ang masasabi ko lang, it was something that was mutually agreed upon.”

“And I think he’s decided to pursue other endeavors.”

“Pero he’s still with us sa radyo pa, sa Punto Asintado. Wala lang siya now sa TV.”

“I guess it’s all part of what’s happening within the station now, the evolution, the changes that are happening.”

“And, you know, like I said, we always had the opportunity naman to talk ni Erwin.”

The PBA coach harbored that they have no ill feelings with each other.

The 44-year-old veteran broadcast journalist will be hosting the primetime news program of TV5, “Aksyon” until June only.

According to a PEP source, he was supposed to take a temporary leave in the primetime newscast of the station, however, it resulted in his resignation.

Erwin Tulfo had been hosting the news program along News5 chief Luchi Cruz-Valdes for two years already. But he will still host radio program on “Radyo Singko,” the “Punto Asintado” which airs every morning.
