Following the couple’s tag team win against The Miz and Maryse on Wrestlemania 33 undercard, John Cena became emotional as he recalls how he told Nikki Bella, who’s going into neck surgery at the time, that one day they’re going to tie the knot.
John Cena or John Felix Anthony Cena Jr. in real life got down on one knee, pulled out the engagement ring and asked her hand in marriage. Bella, whose real name is Stephanie Nicole Garcia-Colace later said yes. The two were then in tears as they embrace each other.
Their engagement mark as the second marriage for both of them.
The 33-year-old Bella also played her last match at the time because she will be taking a rest and have her injured neck healed. On the other hand, the 39-year-old Cena will be taking lengthy absences on the ring because he will be focusing on his projects in Hollywood.
