PAGASA confirmed up to two more tropical cyclones expected to enter the Philippines.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration confirmed that there are two more tropical cyclones are expected to enter the Philippines.
PAGASA has recently shared that the there are a total of 13 cyclones have entered the Philippine area of responsibility this year. But they also revealed that there are two more cyclones was seen to enter the country.
In a recent news report of Phil Star, PAGASA, announced that from the month of January to April next year the country will only have one or none cyclone. But in May 2017, one or two cyclones are expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) deputy administrator Flaviana Hilario confirmed the news to the media.
Furthermore, Hilario has earlier warned the Filipinos that the La Niña condition could bring above normal rainfall in some parts of the country, particularly the eastern side, until early next year.
PAGASA recalled that last year was said to be the lower cyclones that entered the Philippines with a total of 15 cyclones, below the average 19 to 20 cyclones annually.
PAGASA explained that it was due to the strong El Niño event, which has brought drought.
In December last year, cyclones Nona and Onyok dumped rains in many parts of the country.
