Top Performing Schools In November 2016 Civil Engineering Licensure Exams

The PRC has revealed the names of schools which are top performing academic institutions in the November 2016 Civil Engineering Licensure Examination.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the names of the top performing schools in the November 12 and 13 Civil Engineering Licensure Examination given by the Board of Civil Engineering.

The Civil Engineering Licensure Examination results released in November 16 enumerated 245 schools which sent examinees in the licensure examination conducted in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo, Davao, Lucena, Legazpi, Zamboanga and Tacloban.

The results, released in three days after the last examination days, enumerated the top performing academic institutions in alphabetical order, in compliance to Republic Act 8981, otherwise known as the Professional Regulation Commission Modernization Act of 2000 Section 7(m).

The said law provides that the release of top performing schools is geared “To monitor the performance of schools in licensure examinations and publish the results thereof in a newspaper of national circulation”.

The University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman Campus is on the topmost of the top performing schools in the November 2016 Civil Engineering Licensure Examination.

UP-Diliman has 102 graduates who took the licensure examination and 98 or 96.08 percent of them passed.

Meanwhile, the University of the Philippines (UP) Los Baños campus ranked second with 95.16 percent of its graduates, or 59 out of 62 examinees, passed the examination.

The Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) Manila ranked third because 103 out of 114 examinees or 90.35 percent passed. University of Santo Tomas (UST) ranked fourth, where 184 examinees out of 214 or 85.98 percent passed.

Pangasinan State University – Urdaneta sent 56 examinees and 48 or 85.71 percent of them passed. And University of Rizal System-Morong ranked sixth because 43 out of 51 or 84.31 percent of its graduates ended successful in the licensure examination.

The date and venue of the oath-taking ceremonies of the new successful examinees in the November 2016 Civil Engineering Licensure Examination will be announced by the Commission later.
