Billionaires Reactions on Victory of US First Billionaire President

Fellow billionaires of Donald Trump expressed reactions on his election as the new president of the United States.

Billionaires in the world took to Twitter to express their reactions following the shocking win of Donald Trump as the first billionaire president of the United States.

Some of these billionaires supported former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton who will replaced outgoing President Barack Obama.

Billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban called the people to give chance to Trump. This is although Cuban has been an outspoken supporter of Clinton and he criticized policies of Trump. Cuban tweeted on late Tuesday night:

“We all need to give President-Elect Trump a chance. Support the good. Lobby against what we disagree on. No one is bigger than us all. Let us not forget Sec Clinton will win the popular vote. All Voices Matter as we come together under a new President.”

Billionaire Marc Benioff, tweeted Wednesday morning to congratulate Trump and ask for unity from the Americans even if he is a supporter of Clinton. Benioff is the CEO and founder of software firm Salesforce.

“Congratulations President Trump. This is what makes America great—our democracy. Now is the time for us to come together as one country.”

Billionaire and AOL founder Steve Case, tweeted a link to a piece he wrote on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce website in May. Case endorsed Clinton in his first ever presidential endorsement in September.

British billionaire Richard Branson, on the other hand, expressed his fears on Trump presidency but called for unity in a post on his website. Last month, Branson said that a Trump presidency would be a “disaster.”

“[N]ow is not the time to create more division,” he wrote. “We do so sadly, but have to accept the outcome of the election,” Branson twitted.

Billionaire Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz said he was “stunned” at the results of US election. In a statement posted on his company’s website, Schultz said, “As Americans, we must honor the democratic process,” he wrote. “We have a president-elect in Donal Trump, and it is our responsibility as citizens to give him the opportunity to govern well and bring our country together.”

Billionaire Chris Sacca, a Venture capitalist, congratulated Trump on Twitter Wednesday morning.
