Sparring partner of Manny Pacquiao warns him fighting Jessie Vargas is hard.
Few days before his scheduled fight, one of Manny Pacquiao’s sparring partners has cautioned him in facing Jessie Vargas.
Raymundo Beltran said the Filipino icon should avoid getting complacent above the ring with WBO welterweight champion.
Pacquiao and Vargas will face off the ring on November 6 (Philippine Time).
Vargas is a huge underdog heading to next week’s fight, but Pacquiao’s sparmate warned the Filipino icon not to let his guard down.
“Anybody can hurt you, it just takes on shot, anything can happen,” Beltran, a veteran super lightweight contender said.
Beltran, 35-year-old Mexican, has been trading gloves during sparring sessions with Pacquiao in closed-door sessions in the United States.
Beltran described their sessions as “intense” and “hard,” while claiming he’s having a hard time seeing Pacquiao’s punches.
“Manny is on a different level, man. With other guys, I kind of see their punches. With all the other guys, I can relax. Not with Manny,” he continued.
According to him, the 27-year-old Vargas is hungry of winning that is why he is a dangerous opponent for Pacquiao.
“You got to be careful. You can’t take Vargas lightly. He’s a hungry fighter. He wants what Manny has. He wants to put Manny on his record,” he added.
“So it’s not an easy fight. But I think it’s gonna be a really fun fight,” said Beltran, a three-time WBO lightweight title challenger.
Vargas was born on May 10, 1989 in Los Angeles, California but he is currently residing in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. He is 5’10 in height, and 180 centimeter-reach. He is using an orthodox stance in his 28 bouts through out his boxing career.
Beltran, on the other hand, has a ring record of 31 wins, 7 losses and 1 draw fight, with 19 knock outs.
