Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have sold their home in the French Quarter of New Orleans.

On Sept. 19, Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in a Los Angeles court, stating the date of separation as Sept. 15. The former couple had been together for 12 years and are parents to six children: Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

Records show that Pitt and Jolie bought the home in 2007 after Hurricane Katrina in the worth of $3.5 million. The couple bought it after Pitt established the Make It Right Foundation to fuel development of new housing in New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward neighborhood.

According to the listing, the three-storey, 1830s-era mansion has 7,645 square feet, five bedrooms, three bathrooms and two half-baths.

Listing agent Nina Killeen confirmed the sale closed Friday. She says, “It sold for a very fair price. It’s a good deal for both parties. They’re happy with the outcome.”

According to the report of UsWeekly.com, the couple have agreed to part with their country estate and vineyard in the South of France as they pursue a divorce.

Sources also tell that Chateau Miraval ‘has been valued and is going on the market any day now.’

The 1,200-acre property was purchased by the Mr. and Mrs Smith stars for an estimated $60 million, four years ago. They had previously leased it starting in 2008.

The chateau near the Provence village of Correns is surrounded by forests, olive groves and a lake.

Its vineyard and winery produce a highly-regarded rosé.

‘It currently says Jolie-Pitt on the Château Miraval bottles, and the next season’s batch will have a new reprinted label with no names written on it,’ sources told UsWeekly.

It’s also believed that the A-listers will likely divest themselves of all jointly-owned property as part of settlement for their divorce.According to TMZ, the 52-year-old Brad missed a deadline this week to file a legal response to Angelina’s divorce petition.
