Commuters Start Filling Bus Terminals, All Saints’ Day

All Saints’ Day – As the All Saints’ Day is coming in a few days, commuters have been seen starting to fill bus terminals for trips going to their provinces for the annual holiday.

In a report by GMA News, bus terminals are still not yet full as more people are expected to rush on Friday, October 29, and during the weekend.

Normally, Filipinos have been going home to their provinces during the All Saints’ Day on November 1, to pay respect to their loved ones who are already resting in peace.

The report added that Monday, October 31, is a special non-working holiday, making it a long weekend for many Filipinos in the country.

According to authorities, a greater volume of passengers is expected to come and flock bus terminals that might beat last year’s total passengers of about 8,000.

The report said that bus terminal security is strict for safety purposes and together with the police, they will be monitoring areas for secured peace and order.

And because of the heightened security, commuters are advised to give a lot more time for baggage inspection in terminals.

It was also advised by authorities to take he earlier trips on bus terminals, seaports, and airports in order to avoid the greater volume of passengers as well as congestion of vehicles going to these terminals.

Meanwhile, commuters the army and the police force have been deployed in different terminals to assure the security of the people, and also, they are tasked in rerouting vehicles in order to efficiently manage the flow of traffic during this season as thousands of vehicles, both public and private, will be passing the roads.
