Canceled Fights For October 21, 2016

Canceled Fights – Due to bad weather conditions affected by Typhoon Lawin even it already exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Thursday, airport authorities have announced the cancellation of flights, on Friday, October 21, 2016.

In a report by GMA News, the Manila International Airport Authority has canceled some flights of the major airlines in the Philippines which includes Cebu Pacific, CEBGO Flights, and the Philippine Airlines.

During Typhoon Karen’s entrance in the PAR, hundreds of flights have been also canceled by airport authorities in the Philippines.

Typhoon Lawin, with an international name, “Haima”, has entered the Philippines last Monday, October 17, 2016, as reported by the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

The weather bureau has raised the typhoon signals of up the 5th degree which can be compared to the devastating Typhoon Yolanda.

But after it exited on Thursday, October 20, 2016, the typhoon signal nos. have been lifted at but still, Signal No. 1 remains to Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Abra.

In a report by CNN Philippines, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), there are still no confirmed casualties caused by Typhoon Lawin but, there are two reports in Isabela that are still being confirmed.

According to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) last Thursday, there are about 18,277 families that have been affected by the storm coming from Region 1, 2, the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and 5.
