New Tourism Slogan To Be Made

New Tourism slogan – The Department of Tourism will be changing its tourism slogan, “It’s More Fun in the Philippines.”

In a report by Inquirer, the tourism media director Ina Zara-Loyola said on Wednesday that the agency would be making a new slogan for tourism that would” reflect the reforms of President Rodrigo Duterte.

According to the report, the statement was made by Zara-Loyola after stakeholders like the Cebu Association of Tour Operators (CATO) have raised their concerns about changing the slogan as planned by Tourism Secretary Wanda Corazon Teo.

CATO President Edilberto Mendoza Jr. already appealed to the Tourism secretary to review her decision to make a new slogan as Mendoza said that it would be difficult for the country to start introducing a new slogan to the world again.

Zara-Loyola said that the government appreciates the opinion of everyone on the said changing of the slogan but, she stood on the decision of the Tourism Secretary.

“The direction of DOT is to work on a new marketing slogan, one that will reflect the new administration’s thrust and the changes happening under the leadership of President Rodrigo Duterte,” Zara-Loyola said.

With the change, Zara-Loyola said that all stakeholders would be consulted in coming up with a new slogan.
