Mayweather Has Something To Say About Pacquiao’s Comeback To Boxing

Mayweather On Pacquiao’s Comeback To Boxing

American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. recently said something about the comeback fight of the Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao, who is currently serving as a Senator in the Philippines.

In an interview by ESNEWS, Mayweather Jr. just smiled after hearing about Pacquiao’s comeback. According to him, Pacquiao will fight again due to “poor decision making”.

“It’s your team. It’s all about who you surround yourself with,” said Mayweather.

Floyd claimed that he earned more from his fights because, according to him, he knew how to negotiate.

“I gave him [Pacquiao] the option before about fighting him the first time. I think I offered him $40 million but I told him I’d wire him $20 million within 48 hours,” he said.

“At that particular time, he told me he wanted 50-50 and he got off the phone. I think I was set to make probably $75 (million) at that time, somewhere upwards of 75 but it’s all about timing,” he added.

Mayweather and Pacquiao clashed in the so-called “Fight of the Century” last May 2, 2015 wherein Mayweather came victor over via a unanimous decision.
