‘Negative’ Bordador’s Drug Test – It Had No Bearing On The Case

Radio DJ, Karen Bordador’s drug test came out negative. According to the report on GMA news. However, her boyfriend Emilio Lim tested positive for drug use.

The Southern Police District authorities refused to confirm the report of drug test results of the couple.

Despite Bordador’s favorable results, authorities say it will not affect the case against the couple.

Senior Superintendent Tomas Apolinario said that the drugs test result had no significance on the case filed against Lim and Bordador, even if the drug test results are negative.

Bordador was arrested together with her boyfriend on a buy bust operation. They were busted at Lim’s condominium unit. Authorities found 2.8 million worth of drugs.

Bordador’s boyfriend were allegedly the suppliers of party drugs of upscale clubs. Police authorities said that the couple resisted arrest by closing the door of the condo unit.

The DJ insisted that she just visited her boyfriend. However, the police said that she is helping her boyfriend by directing high-end clients to him.

Lim and Bordador were arrested after Evan Reynald Baylon. The Filipino-American who was arrested earlier after he was caught selling illegal drugs at high-end bars in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City.

“For the past three weeks’ surveillance, we cannot say that she was directly involved, but recovered from her possession are some ecstasy during the progress operation that was done by our operatives,” NCRPO spokesman Kimberly Molitas said.

The couple is facing serious charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. Bordador asked for prayers after facing preliminary investigation at the Pasig City Prosecutor’s Office on Friday.

“Please pray for us,” Bordador said on an exclusive interview of GMA news. Several known personalities and celebrities stressed their sympathy on Bordador.

The raid is said to be the part of an order by PNP chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa to flush out illegal drugs in the country.
