The country’s weather bureau, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced that all Storm Signals were all lifted after Bagyong Ambo weakened into an LPA. Despite the announcement various Local Government Units (LGU), they declared suspension of classes (Walang Pasok).

Region 3
– Baler, Aurora: Pre-school to high school (both private and public)
Region 4-A (Calabarzon)
-Infanta, Quezon: Pre-school to elementary
Region 5
– Catanduanes province: Pre-school
– Naga City, Camarines Sur: Pre-school and kindergarten
As Tropical Depression “Ambo” maintained its strength, some local government units and provincial disaster risk reduction and management council were prompted to call off classes in various areas on Monday due to the threat posed by heavy rains.
Classes are suspended in all levels in the Bicol region and in other Luzon provinces as these areas are under tropical cyclone warning signals.
Based upon the official Guidelines of the Department of Education and the Local Government Units, during typhoon classes are suspended in Kindergarten in all areas affected with Public Storm Warning Signal No. 1.
No classes in Kindergarten, Elementary and High School in case a Public Storm Warning Signals will be declared in areas affected by the typhoon. When Signal No. 3 is hoisted in the area, all classes will be suspended from Kindergarten up to College and Graduate School.
