Underpass: A Dangerous Playground
A video of street children playing on the top of the underpass is now going viral after Facebook page Top Gear Philippines posted it yesterday, June 10, 2016. Many netizens were very worried about the possibility that these children might fall or even worse might happen if they slip while running on the bar of the underpass.

One Facebook user Joms Corved commented, “pag nahulog yan at nabangga sa underpass kasalanan nung kotse, iiyak yung magulang sa T.V tapos kakampihan sya ng CHR at DSWD, ipapakulong yung nakabangga sa anak nya tapos hihingi ng pera.. pag binigyan ng pera iuurong ang kaso tapos.. mag aanak ulit sila ng kapalit dun sa namatay na anak.. repeat the cycle.”
Basil Velasco also burst out his sentiments saying, “dapat ang mga magulang nyang mga batang yan ang ikinukulong!!! Anak ng anak tapos papabayaan!!! Sabay sasabihin di sila tinutulungan ng gobyerno?? Putcha nung nagpapasarap kayo gumawa ng bata naalala nyo ba gobyerno??!! Just saying.”
One John Florence Marcellana also expressed his said commeting, “the best way, lagyan na agad ito ng harang itong underpass ng EDSA. Kung kailan pa mangyayari ang isang aksidente o di inaasahan, tsaka na lalagyan ng harang sa underpass na to. Kailan pa kaya matututo ang taga-DPWH sa nangyari dati sa Nahulog na tao sa SM?”
We are urging to government especially the sector which is responsible for taking action on this matter. We sould not wait that another life would pay for this, we should not wait for the worse to happen.
