Messages For Miriam – June 1, 2016, Wednesday, an announcement about Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago’s current health status alarmed everyone most especially her supporters after being delivered to an intensive care unit in Makati Medical Center.
Sen. Defensor is definitely one of the most loves senators of the Filipinos most especially those of the younger generation or the youths. Her current health situation has indeed saddened the citizenry as she is one effective mind in the senate.
State by her Public Affairs and Media Relation Officer, Chelsea Deuz, the Senator was rushed into the medical hospital on Monday, 31st of May.
The day after the unexpected incident, the husband of the Senator, Narcisco “Jun” Santiago, released a comforting statement to the public that Sen. Mirriam is already in the private room after being confined in an Intensive Care Unit.
Yesterday afternoon, June 2, an update from Twitter relieved Miriam’s supporters by an announcement that the “Iron Lady” is now feeling better.
In the said post, the beloved Senator of the youths expressed her thanks to everyone who wished for her and her fast recovery.
The news about the health condition of the Senator deeply affected her supporters that heart melting messages for Sen. Mirriam flooded a post from Miriam Santiago’s Facebook user stating: “MESSAGES FOR MIRIAM Do you have a message for Senator Santiago? Leave a comment and we will relay your messages to the senator. Thank you! #MiriamFight”. The said post went viral.
One certain Facebook user Pedro De Leon commented, “Please be well Miriam. People still needs you even not in politics but as an inspiration that everyone can be a good citizen and can make a change in a simple way. The campaign period might be exhausting but many people supported you. Don’t let the canc3r defeat you.”
Mark Lester Valignota also expressed her sentiments to Senator Miriam saying, “You may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but definitely you standout! “
