Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, Anne Curtis, Mariel Rodriguez, Heart Evangelista, Kris Aquino, Amy Perez and Susan Roces were among the renowned celebrities in the country who also cast their votes in the 2016 local and national elections.
A total of 54 million Filipinos were expected to participate in the Philippine General Elections which kicked off at 6 am of May 9, 2016. The election will conclude at exactly 5 pm.

Meanwhile, teen stars Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo, popularly known as KathNiel, are currently making rounds online after they were under fired for allegedly violating a Commission on Elections (COMELEC) rule on ballot secrecy.
The Teen King and Queen got the netizens ire over their photo with their respective election ballots. The issue even caught the attention of COMELEC spokesperson James Jimenez who stated in a Twitter post that he need to talk with the two.
Just recently, Daniel Padilla has been subject of online discussion over his response to the netizens especially those who bashed them after supporting Liberal Party standard-bearer Mar Roxas.
