Duterte’s Supporters Issue – As the May 9 election is fast approaching, PDP-Laban Standard bearer and Davao City Mayor Rodrigo “Rody” Duterte is making a buzz in local and international media with regards to his famous remarks that most people find offensive.
And now, it’s Duterte again! Supporters of presidential bet Duterte has went to the extra mile to show their solid support.
In the recent presidential debate which was held in Pangasinan, supporters of Duterte held banners that states, “ And hidni bumoto kay Duterte, patay!”

Commission on Election officials has denounced such banners that can be considered as a threat to the Filipino voters and it violates Commission on Election’s election policy.
According to a COMELEC official, “banner statements that threatens people of their lives is already a crim!nal offense.”
While Mayor Duterte’s side has yet to give some comment on this issue.
Vice presidential candidate Senator Antonio Trillianes claimed via a telephone interview on ANC’s Headstart that Duterte has P211 million in an undeclared bank account.
In a news reported by Philstar.com, Trillianes stressed that he is not exposing Duterte’s alleged wealth which he reportedly failed to declare in his 2014 Statement of Assets and Liabilities (SALN).
He said, “It is just the tip of the iceberg. You have no idea how wealthy Duterte is.”
Trillianes said that he is not exposing it in order to boost his ranking on vice presidential surveys. Trillianes.
Last election, Sen. Trillanes along with his fellow vice presidential contender, Sen Alan Peter Cayetano, with Sen. Kiko Pimentel headed the hearings over the charges of Vice President Jejomar Binay.
“I am now so motivated to make sure that he doesn’t become the president of our country. We cannot have a psycho as our commander-in-chief. Within the next few days, he would be exposed as a fraud,” he said.
