Vice President Jejomar Binay, the one who dominated the Pulse Asia and SWS Survey results but now is trailing behing Mayor Duterte, Sen. Grace Poe and DILG Sec. Mar Roxas, revealed during an interview with the media about the composition and members of his upcoming Cabinet once elected as President of the Philippines.
According to VP Binay only people with integrity, track record and competence would be appointed as members of his Cabinet and named some individuals whom he would invite to be part of his official family once he will seat in Malacanang.
The former Makati City Mayor and the standard-bearer of United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) stressed te need to appoint people with executive ability to handle the problems in their respective agencies.
Some of the names mentioned by VP Binay are former Trade Secretary Peter Favila and former Finance Secretary Gary Teves to return to their old posts. Both Favila and Teves served during the administration of former Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
VP Binay also confirmed earlier reports that he would appoint outgoing Cavite Gov. Jonvic Remulla to the Department of Interior and Local Government and PAG-IBIG President Darlene Berberabe to the Department of Education.
The Vice President also added that he as other people in mind, but refused to identify them to be part of his Cabinet members. One of the most intriguing pronouncement of VP Binay is his plans to replace BIR Commissioner Kim Henares, whom he said that he would replaced 30 minutes after taking his oath as President.
