In an interview with the reportes in Tangub City, Misamis Occidental, VP Binay dared to ask Mayor Duterte “Siguro Mr. Duterte, mag-issue ka naman, kahit na certificate lang that you’re in the pink of health,” he stated.

The Vice President added further that “Kung magsalita, machong-macho. itinatago niya lang na may sakit siya,” he added.

When the reporters who were present during the interview asked the Vice President about the illness of Mayor Duterte, Binay responded that the reporters should ask Mayor Duterte themselves. “Basta’t may sakit. Period,” Binay said.

The news of VP Binay’s challenge reached Mayor Duterte, so the mayor responded for VP’s dare on the condition that they exchange doctors.

VP Binay earlier released a medical certificate signed by a physician from the Makati Medical Center, indicating that he was fit to be president. Mayor Duterte was once targeted by false accusations about a report the came out that he was sick with throat cancer, but the fact was clarified later that it was Mayor Duterte’s wife who has the cancer and not the mayor of Davao City.
