Concerned Netizen Exposes Cotabato Gov. Lala Mendoza’s Vote-Buying Activities

Cotabato Governor Lala Mendoza became a hottest topic on social media during the time when she reacted with Mayor Duterte’s statement that he will provide the rice needed by the protesting farmers who were dispersed by security forces in Kidapawan City. The governor noted on her viral video that she will not allow politics to enter the scene in the Kidapawan Protest problems.

Netizens Cotabato

Due to the popularity of Gov. Mendoza some netizens were intrigued with her personality as a politician, a concerned netizen then breaks her silence and exposed the governor’s vote-buying activity three years ago.

According to concerned citizen Bernice Joana Piñol, a resident of Kidapawan City, she was disappointed with the decision of the governor to block any donations for Kidapawan city from various individuals. She posted an open letter addressed to Mendoza to express her dismay of the governor’s action toward the incident.

Affected by what she calls an ironic event, Piñol related in her post how the governor’s campaign team disseminated the said bribe. Thousands of sacks and bags of rice were given to random people to make them vote for her.

The concerned netizen also described Gov. Lala Mendoza as “a heartless and incompetent leader, incapable of feeling any ounce of compassion for her people.”

Here’s an excerpt from her Facebook post:

Three years ago, if you remember, I posted a very hateful post against you. I was much younger then and a bit harsh with my words and had less knowledge about election laws but this remains true: You gave away sacks of rice to people who did not need it in exchange for their votes. The photos below show that Ma’am and my own brother witnessed the said vote-buying. Thousands of sacks of rice Ma’am were given away by your office three years ago ONE MONTH before the elections to RANDOM people in the hopes that they will remember you as they go to the polls three years ago.
