Filipino singer Carol Banawa made headlines in the United States after one of her song was featured in the latest episode of the hit show “The Vampire Diaries,” which was aired on last Thursday (Friday in Manila).

Carol Banawa’s song “Bakit Di Totohanin” was featured being played in the background when the series supposedly set at a beach in the Philippines two years ago. The song was played during a scene featuring Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) and Valerie Tulle (Elizabeth Blackmooore).
In the scene, Valerie was convincing Stefan to travel the world and find a witch who could help him with his scar. Carol Banawa seems to have the knowledge of the episo based on her tweet a day before the episode was aired.
Carol Banawa posted on Twitter last March 30 inviting her followers to watch “The Vampire Diaries,” hinting they might hear one of her songs on the top-rating American TV series.
During the day of airing, Carol Banawa took to Instagram as she was overwhelmed with the achievement that her song was used in the episode of The Vampire Diaries.
